Ladakh Tour Packages

Ladakh Tour Packages

The high-altitude circuit beyond Kashmir — Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri and Zanskar. Arranged as a standalone Ladakh trip, or combined with a Kashmir itinerary.

Standalone or combined with Kashmir High altitude Best: June–September
How We Arrange It

Standalone Ladakh, Or Combined With Kashmir

Ladakh works well as a trip on its own, flying directly into Leh and covering the circuit from there. It also works as an extension of a Kashmir trip, since Srinagar and Leh are connected by road via Sonamarg, the Zoji La pass and Kargil — a genuinely scenic route in its own right, and one we know well given our base in Srinagar.

Which option makes sense depends on how much time you have and whether you want to experience the overland route between the two regions. We arrange both.

Where A Ladakh Trip Takes You

Leh town, Ladakh

Leh

The hub of most Ladakh trips, with Leh Palace, the main market, and easy access to nearby monasteries like Thiksey, Shey and Hemis.

Nubra Valley, Ladakh

Nubra Valley

Reached via Khardung La, one of the world's highest motorable passes — known for its sand dunes and double-humped Bactrian camels.

Pangong Lake, Ladakh

Pangong Lake

A high-altitude lake known for changing colour through the day, and one of the most photographed spots on the Ladakh circuit.

Tso Moriri lake, Ladakh

Tso Moriri

A quieter, more remote high-altitude lake on the Changthang plateau — for travellers who want to go beyond the more visited Pangong.

Zanskar Valley, Ladakh

Zanskar

A remote valley best known for the winter Chadar Trek along the frozen river — added to itineraries for travellers with extra time.

Khardung La mountain pass, Ladakh

Khardung La

The high mountain pass connecting Leh to Nubra Valley — a landmark stop on most Ladakh itineraries in its own right.

Good To Know

Before You Go

Altitude & Acclimatization

Leh sits at a high altitude, and some passes go considerably higher. We build in a rest day on arrival, and recommend discussing any health concerns with a doctor beforehand.

Seasonal Access Only

Both the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh and Manali-Leh routes are only open in the warmer months, generally June through September.

Longer Travel Days

Distances between stops on the circuit are considerable — Ladakh trips involve more time on the road than a typical Kashmir itinerary.

Pairs Naturally With Kashmir

Given our Srinagar base, we're well placed to arrange the overland route if you'd like to see both regions in one trip.

Planning Your Visit

Ladakh Travel Essentials

How To Reach

Fly directly into Leh, or travel overland from Srinagar via Kargil, or from Manali via the Manali-Leh highway.

Suggested Duration

A standard Leh-Nubra-Pangong circuit typically runs 6 to 8 days; adding Tso Moriri or Zanskar extends this further.

What To Pack

Warm layers even in summer, sun protection given the altitude, and any personal medication given the remoteness of parts of the circuit.

Best Time To Visit

June through September, while the high passes are open and weather is most reliable.

Frequently Asked

Ladakh Trips: Common Questions

What does a Ladakh tour package usually cover?

A full Ladakh circuit typically covers Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, and can extend to Tso Moriri and Zanskar for travellers with more time. We arrange both standalone Ladakh trips and Ladakh combined with a Kashmir itinerary.

Can I combine Kashmir and Ladakh in one trip?

Yes. Kashmir and Ladakh are connected by road via Srinagar, Sonamarg and the Zoji La pass onward to Kargil and Leh, which makes a combined itinerary a natural extension for travellers with enough time. We arrange this as well as standalone Ladakh trips.

How do I reach Ladakh?

Most travellers fly directly into Leh. Ladakh is also reachable by road from Srinagar via Kargil, or from Manali via the Manali-Leh highway, both of which are seasonal routes open only in the warmer months.

Do I need to worry about altitude in Ladakh?

Yes. Leh sits at a high altitude, and some passes on the Ladakh circuit go considerably higher. Most itineraries build in a rest day on arrival for acclimatization, and it's worth discussing any health concerns with a doctor before travelling if you're unsure.

What is the best time to visit Ladakh?

Ladakh is generally accessible from around May or June through September, once the high mountain passes reopen after winter snowfall. Outside this window, most of the region is cut off by road.

Is Zanskar included in a standard Ladakh package?

Zanskar is more remote and typically added for travellers with extra time rather than included in a standard circuit, since it involves additional travel days. We can include it on request.
