Making The Most Of Eight Days
Eight days lets you plan around the weather instead of fighting it. If the forecast is poor for Gulmarg on one day, there is usually room to swap it with a lighter Srinagar day and go up on a clearer one. Use the spare time for the things shorter trips skip: a slow morning on Dal Lake, a visit to the Old City, the Kashmir heritage tour or a quiet afternoon in Pahalgam. Activities are optional and can be added on WhatsApp.
Choosing The Right Time To Go
Kashmir changes a lot between seasons. Spring and summer (roughly April to June) are the usual choice for green meadows and comfortable sightseeing, July and August bring occasional rain, and autumn colours arrive around October and November. In winter Gulmarg turns into a snow destination, though snowfall can affect road timing in higher areas such as Sonamarg.
