A family trip has different needs from a solo or couple's trip. There is more luggage, a wider age range and usually less appetite for long, rushed travel days. This 6-day package covers the full Kashmir circuit of Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Pahalgam, and the pace and vehicle are set with a family group in mind.
Six days is enough to give each destination real time instead of squeezing any of them into a half-day stop. That matters most when you are travelling with young children, who tire quickly, or with grandparents, who prefer a slower morning. We start from your arrival in Srinagar and plan the days so the longest drives are not stacked back to back.

Tips For Travelling With Children And Elders
Carry warm layers even in summer, because Gulmarg and Sonamarg sit at high altitude and the temperature drops quickly once the sun goes behind the mountains. Keep a day's medicines and snacks in your hand bag rather than in the luggage in the vehicle, and tell us in advance if anyone has trouble with long drives or altitude so we can plan rest stops.
Several of the best family activities are optional and can be skipped without losing the trip. The Gulmarg Gondola is popular with all ages, a Shikara ride on Dal Lake is gentle and easy, and pony rides in Pahalgam help anyone who does not want to walk the uneven ground.
Choosing The Right Time To Go
Kashmir changes a lot between seasons. Spring and summer (roughly April to June) are the usual choice for green meadows and comfortable sightseeing, July and August bring occasional rain, and autumn colours arrive around October and November. In winter Gulmarg turns into a snow destination, though snowfall can affect road timing in higher areas such as Sonamarg.
